Ephesians: Our Possession in Christ.

A Study through the Book of Ephesians: “Walking as Children of the One True King”

DOCTRINE: Understanding Our Riches in Christ – Our Possession in Christ.

(Ephesians 1:1-14)

Christian believers today have limitless wealth at their disposal, and yet they live like Paupers.

Today, as we start through the book of Ephesians, let’s take some time and marvel at the great possessions we’ve received because of the amazing grace of God.

We have been set-apart by God the Father.  (Ephesians 1:3-6)

We possess adornment from the Father. (Ephesians 1:3)

We possess adoption from the Father. (Ephesians 1:4-5)

We possess acceptance from the Father. (Ephesians 1:6)

We have been saved by God the Son.  (Ephesians 1:7-12)

We possess redemption in Christ. (Ephesians 1:7)

We possessrevelation in Christ. (Ephesians 1:8-9)

We possessrestoration in Christ.  (Ephesians 1:10-12)

We have been sealed by God the Spirit.  (Ephesians 1:13-14)

We possess a guaranteed salvation through the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13-14a)

We possess a guided sanctification through the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:14b)

For those who are in Christ, you have been lifted out of the pit, out of bondage and out of poverty.  You are no longer a pauper.  You are a prince!  You are a princess! Of the Most High God!  You are a possession of Christ—one with Him—and therefore because of that truth you have immeasurable riches in Christ Jesus our Lord!

May our lives continually reflect that truth!
